It’s been one of those days where you’ve got to take the good and the bad and just roll with them both. This time of month will do that to you.
The good: Amazing, non-instant banana oatmeal for breakfast. Using Kath’s method of whipping the bananas in as the oats cooked really made for some fluffy and creamy breakfast goodness.
The bad: Not getting to have a Gossip Girl breakfast date with your laptop because CastTV keeps telling you your limit for video has been exceeded for the day. (Um. I just woke up. How is that possible?)
The good: Realizing you’ve spent the entire weekend lounging in your sweats and t-shirts, which has felt pretty damn good.
The bad: Starting to feel gross and like it’s past time for a shower and wearing some real clothes.
The good: Leftovers for lunch. No cooking this afternoon? Sounds great to me. And some fresh mikan right off the tree? Sounds great, too!
The bad: My right foot has started giving me trouble again. I’m not sure what is triggering the pain around the ball of my big toe, but it looks like I’m not going to be running for a few days, at the least. J has suggested trying a new pair of shoes and if that doesn’t work is insisting I see a doctor about it.
Obviously, I’m not too thrilled to already be stopping my running after just getting back to it. What gives? Someone needs to inform my feet that I’m running the Tokyo Marathon 10K in February!
The good: Buying a new heater for the downstairs of our apartment, a new comforter, and a week’s worth of groceries for just over $100. Cha-ching!
The bad: Trying to get all of that home with just our two bikes. Now that was a challenge!
The good: Taking a long, long nap when you get home because you’re severely pooped.
The bad: Knowing that nap might keep you from falling asleep tonight, and over indulging in chocolate (Thanks womanhood—I swear I never used to crave chocolate like this. Could it be from switching birth control pills?).
Today’s snacks:

A good reminder, too:
The good: J made dinner. No cooking for me tonight. A little reprieve from the nightly task was more than appreciated. And spaghetti, I’m not going to lie, I’ve missed you a little bit.
The bad: I’ve not been eating enough veggies lately. I’ve been seriously slacking and need to step up my game!
And to end on a good note: There’s three episodes of The Office waiting for my husband and I to enjoy before bed, along with a breakfast cookie in my refrigerator for tomorrow’s morning meal.

Boo to the bad, but Yay to all the Good things for the day! I’m loving your spaghetti and salad.
Yay for oatmeal!
I’m ALWAYS craving chocolate!
For my tv shows, I always use surfthechannel.com. That website links to a bunch of other websites that post the videos. For gossip girl, normally I can watch the first 4/5 of the show on youtube and then I have to switch to megavideo (which I get to using surfthechannel)
Check out fancast for Gossip Girl! I just watched it this morning!
i love having a bunch of episodes back-to-back to watch of my fave shows – it’s like x-mas!!!
I love those Dove bliss bites. Totally addicting.
Really sorry to hear about he wonky foot. Nothing is as frustrating as building up your running endurance and possibly getting sidelined due to physical injury.
I feel ya on the veggie front. My fresh produce supply has dwindled from last week’s shopping excursion and I’m working with next to nothing. It’s been a carb-filled pantry day, for sure.
